The messy office!

Good Morning Monday!

A new month, a new house, a new office, and a new book to work on. The second book to my "Sweet Tea," Series. I've got some great idea's for the title and cover. I'll reveal them soon.

I've had lots of NEWs lately. Good for the most part. 

But, wow, the mess that comes along the way. Moving into a new house, with all the old and some new things added. I love it and can't wait to get settled in. All the rearranging and moving furniture, household stuff will have to sit for a bit, while I tackle this novelette.

You know, I'll put something away and then it doesn't seem to fit there and so off to a new shelf, a new drawer, or a new room, until I find just the perfect spot.

My, office, I have to say is a complete disaster. Moving out of my downtown office and bringing everything home, into my new office (previous dining room) is something to ponder. I had no idea how much stuff it takes to get your work done. I'm learning though. I know once this mess is cleared, I'll love having it home.

So, now off to do some writing, and please overlook my mess!

My Platform... what's that?

So I'm trying to figure out what an author platform is?

Heck, I don't know. The only thing I can think of is maybe I should be wearing my 70's platform shoes. Wonder if that counts?

I'm watching youtube video's and reading articles. My question is if I spend time building my platform when do I have time to write?

So confused, oh and there's this word Discoverability? That's new for me.  Let's add that to my dictionary.

Help!!!!  I'm hibernating in youtube videos.

I think I'm slowly getting it. I sure hope so, because these characters in my head won't be quiet long enough for me to get it on paper. 

So we press on.

All nighter!

It's just one of those things that happen.  Yes, I wasn't planning on being up all night, but the voices wouldn't let me sleep. As they spoke the fingers wrote.

The most explosive chapter of "A Heart of Steel" trilogy. The family secret, the emotions, the justice all entwined into one chapter.  I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

Of course, there will be many edits, but the hardest part is finally finished.

Now off for some fun time with my sweet granddaughter  Khloe.

Romance is kicking in Atlanta!

Greetings from TNEE in Atlanta;

It has been a crazy few days. You just don't realize how little you know until you attend a conference with 50+ authors.

It has been an amazing time, learning all the different genre's of Romance and where you fit in to all the mayhem.

I absolutely love listening to them share their passion for writing.

One of the funniest moments were watching people from other conferences here at the hotel stroll the lobby looking at all the author banners. Their reactions were priceless.

Quite a difference experience for me.... all smiles. I'm looking forward to the book signing tomorrow.
